This Bible has a soft plush cover, designed especially for kids. The NIrV is based on the NIV translation and is written at a third-grade reading level—perfect for children learning to read.
My take on this Bible:
What a perfect Bible for young girls. First of all the NIrV translation is an easier to understand version of the NIV. It is written on a third grade level, and I must say as I read thru this Bible I found it easy to comprehend. The sentences seem to be short and the words are more simplistic but do adhere to what the Bible says. The cover of this one is a pretty pink, glittery looking plush, but the plush feels as if it is wrapped around a hard core of some sort, so that the Bible will withstand daily use. There is a presentation page which is something I always look for. There is a dictionary along with a list of 92 great Bible stories. Overall I think this Bible would make a wonderful gift for a young girl who is interested in an easy to read version of the Bible. The color and cover texture is going to grab her attention, but it's God's word that is inside that will make a lasting impression on her for years to come.
